SUV Accident

Two boys face some serious charges, after Bexar County Sheriff's Deputies say they carjacked a SUV overnight and then led police on a chase. Deputies say the pursuit ended when the boys slammed into a Foot Locker store.

The San Antoniio News states, deputies were called out to a carjacking off Walzem and Gibbs Sprawl, on the northwest side, just before 10:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputies say they spotted the suspects quickly, driving the SUV that was stolen.

The driver refused to stop, but eventually lost control and slammed into the Foot Locker store on Walzem.

According to deputies, the teenage driver was trapped inside the mangled SUV and emergency crews had to rescue him. Deputies say the passenger tried to run.

"We do have one passenger, appears to be a young teen, in custody," said Lt. Martin Molina. "He fled from the scene on foot and was apprehended near Windcrest."

The driver is now in the hospital, but deputies say both boys face charges of aggravated robbery and evading arrest.
