Motorcyclist Killed by 18 Wheeler
A 28-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning on the city's northwest side when he was run over by an 18-wheeler.
The San Antonio News reported, witnesses told police the motorcyclist was weaving through traffic by driving in between lanes, when he lost control in front of the truck at Loop 1604 and La Cantera Parkway at 10 a.m.
Police said there was not much the driver could do to avoid the motorcycle.
"The motorcycle just got under him," said Sgt. Greg Brooks of the San Antonio Police Department. "There was nothing he could do to avoid it."
Despite the crash, the motorcycle barely had a scratch.
The eastbound lanes of Loop 1604 were closed from Hausman Road to Interstate 10 while the crash was cleaned up.
