City Making Changes to Dangerous Curve

After a number of accidents along a stretch of East Southcross, the city is making some changes.

New signs have been installed, roads painted and new reflectors were put down on a stretch that neighbors call "the curve of death."

The San Antonio News reports, the city is also talking with CPS Energy about making the street lights brighter.

In the past year, three families have woken up to cars inside their homes after the drivers lost control. That area's councilwoman says the changes are thanks to News 4.

"Thanks to you and your news station you brought it to my attention," said Councilwoman Ramos.

There's another dangerous curve less than a mile away from this stretch of Southcross at Goliad. Ramos says they'll now focus on fixing that.
