Bicyclist hit and killed by truck

A bicycle rider was killed Friday night after he was hit by a truck.  

The victim was 37-year-old Larry Lepley of Cleburne, Texas. Cleburne was traveling in the right lane of Burleson Boulevard, also known as the Interstate 35W service road. He was hit by a truck that was also traveling northbound on the two-lane road.

Lepley was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The cause of death was cited as blunt force trauma.  

Police say that Lepley’s bike had no front or rear lights. The speed at which the truck was traveling at the time of the accident is still unknown.

The accident remains under investigation.
