Texas teen killed in single-vehicle rollover accident

A Texas teenager was killed in a car accident early Sunday when she struck a guardrail on Northeast Loop 820. The impact caused her vehicle to roll over.

The victim, an 18-year-old whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident took place at around 3 a.m. in the 2500 block of Northeast Loop 820. The victim was traveling eastbound on the highway in a Ford Focus when she attempted to enter a ramp to head north, striking a guardrail instead.

The teen was not wearing a seatbelt, and she was partially ejected from her vehicle during the rollover.
