I am so upset over the number of uninsured motorists, driving drunk and causing accidents! My son was hit by a drunk driver in this country illegally. Beer cans were everywhere - the driver was drunk out of his mind...he was taken to Parkland Hospital and remained there for an entire WEEK...and guess who's taxes paid for his care? Certainly not his. I am thankful my son was not seriously injured. His car, however, was totalled. The drunken driver had no license and no insurance however he did have a car purchased at a Tote-the-Note place - for which he was still making payments. On the contract under Insurance - was written N/A..... How can this be? How can so many people get away with so many wrong doings and my son is the one who had to pay! His car was old and he only carried liability insurance.....I am thankful my son is alive today.
