Fort Hood Solider Killed in Temple Traffic Accident

Private Gregory Anthony Salas died this week in a tragic automobile accident in Temple, Texas. A member of the 1st Cavalry Division stationed in Fort Hood, Salas was a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the recipient of several individual and unit citations for his distinguished service. Salas deserved better than to die on a lonely stretch of Texas highway at the hands of a negligent driver.

Every week, dozens of Texans die in automobile accidents that are often as preventable as they are tragic. Alcohol consumption, sleep deprivation, in-car distractions like cell phones and radios, and improper vehicle maintenance are frequent contributors to today’s accidents. These accidents cause property damage, personal injury, and death – and in the process, change the lives of families just like yours.
