A Texas A&M University football player, Joseph Villavisencio, lost his life this week when he collided head-on with an 18-wheeler on Highway 39 outside of Houston. While preliminary investigations suggest that Villavisencio slammed into the big rig as a result of his attempt to dodge a buzzard, the tragic reality is that reckless 18-wheeler drivers, not buzzards, are most often the reason that car drivers are involved in harmful accidents with 18-wheelers.
