Street Racer Takes Dallas Father's Life
Street racing may be against the law, but that doesn’t seem to stop thousands of Texans from tearing around city streets, putting their own lives at risk – and the lives of innocent bystanders, too.
Tragically, Elias Silva-Gonzales of Dallas, a 43-year-old father of two, was killed earlier this month when a street racer driving a Chevrolet Suburban at an excessive rate of speed slammed into Silva-Gonzales’s car. Although Silva-Gonzales was rushed to the hospital, the deed – and the damage – was done. By the time he reached the ER, Mr. Silva-Gonzales had died from the irresponsible decision-making of yet another criminally negligent street racer.
