According to state police, Ingram Lucas Macha was killed in a car accident on I-20 Tuesday, September 24, 2013 near Penwell, TX. Macha was traveling westbound on I-20 when the 2010 Chevrolet he was driving struck a 2008 Ford, driven by Matthew Percifull. Percifull was reportedly driving east in the westbound lanes of I-20 at the time of the accident. 24-year-old Macha died at the scene of the accident, while Percifull was transported to Medical Center Hospital, and is currently in critical condition. Below is a map indicating where the accident occurred:
This is a prime example of how important it is to exercise extreme caution and observe all traffic signs when operating a motor vehicle on a highway where motorists are traveling at high speeds. Because Percifull failed to follow highway traffic signs, a young man is now deceased; while he himself is combating serious injuries in a hospital. Had Percifull paid better attention to directions, he could’ve turned around without causing any damage, or entered the highway in the right direction and prevented this accident completely. It is pertinent that Macha’s family consult with an attorney to file a civil claim against Percifull. In doing so, it would prevent Macha’s family from experiencing the financial burden that often accompanies the final expenses of a loved one; allowing them to focus on the grieving process that is to come. Furthermore, filing a civil claim would give Macha’s family a sense of justice for their deceased family member.
