On Tuesday January 14th a Humble Independent School District bus was involved in an accident with another vehicle. The bus was driving on Farm-to-Market Road 1960 near West Lake Houston Parkway. The bus was driving around 7:45 am with six special education children. All six students were taken to Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital as a precaution; one student hit his head during the collision. Below is a map of the approximate location of the accident.
Although motor vehicle accidents are common they seem to be even more tragic when they involve innocent children. In this scenario a potential civil case could benefit those families whose children were injured in the accident. Although officials are still investigating the specifics of the accident to determine who is at fault, the victims’ families could file a civil claim against the responsible party. From a civil standpoint, our firm has represented numerous families involved in motor vehicle accidents. The families of these children should consider consulting with an experienced attorney to file a personal injury claim. A successful claim will ensure that the injured children will receive support for the unexpected medical expenses they incurred and for the pain and suffering from their injuries. It will enable the families of the victims to pay off these costly medical bills without being burdened by out-of-pocket expenses.
