UT football player crashes into apartment, resident hires attorney to seek damages

Kindle suffered a concussion. The car was also carrying a passenger who was not injured.
A representative for Kindle contacted the apartment’s management company later Wednesday morning and stated that Kindle would cover the $8,000 worth of damages.
Ashley Zapata lives in the apartment struck by Kindle. Zapata’s bedroom was damaged in the accident. She has since hired an attorney to help her recover compensation for the damage to her personal property, which includes personal belongings and furniture.
Zapata’s attorney is hopeful that the matter can be resolved outside of court.
In July of 2007, Kindle, who is widely considered to be the Longhorn’s top returning defensive player, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

As this story shows, car accidents do not always end in injury to those involved. Rather, sometimes it is personal property that is damaged. Victims of car accidents have just as much right to compensation for damage to their property as for personal injuries.
