Lubbock County Man Dies After Vehicle Rollover

A 21-year-old man, Colby Galland, died last weekend in Wolfforth, Texas, on FM 179 after his 2004 Ford pickup truck rolled. Preliminary investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety confirms that Mr. Galland was not wearing a seat belt. Investigators have yet to conclude whether alcohol or excessive speed might have contributed to the deadly roll.

One hurt in SUV rollover crash in Oak Cliff

One person was injured today in an SUV rollover crash in North Oak Cliff.  The accident occurred on Colorado Boulevard near the Stevens Park Golf Course.  Authorities believe that a Nissan SUV was traveling on a side street and ran a stop sign.  A Volkswagon SUV was traveling on Colorado and was struck hard in the side by the Nissan.  The Volkswagon rolled over, coming to rest near a tree in a front yard.  The driver of the Volkswagon was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Man dies in rollover wreck on I-35

A man was killed early this morning in a rollover accident on I-35 in north Fort Worth.  The man, Fernando Torrez, was heading southbound on the highway and driving a 2003 Toyota truck.  Witnesses report that the truck made an abrupt move and began to violently roll over.  Torrez was ejected from the truck, landing in the path of a tractor-trailer.  The tractor-trailer attempted to swerve, but was unable to avoid hitting the body.  Torrez was pronounced dead at the scene.
