A young man was killed early Wednesday morning after participating in a drag race with another driver. Christopher Seguinot, 21, was driving a Chevrolet Camaro on the Saw Mill River Parkway around midnight in Dobbs, New York when the accident occurred. According to police officials, Seguinot and another driver in a Dodge Challenger were spotted slowing down to obstruct traffic on the parkway as part of an attempt to conduct the drag race.

After about two miles into the race, police officers claim that Seguinot got off the parkway at exit 17 and as he when through the intersection, he hit a concrete and steel barrier. Seguinot’s car then fell from the intersection from a height of about 20 to 30 feet. Officers state that Seguinot must have been speeding at 80mph at the very minimum when the collision occurred.

Police are also aware of the others involved in or who knew about the race and plan on pursuing charges. In particular, they plan on charging the other driver that Seguinot was racing, claiming that he is partially responsible for Seguinot’s death.

From a civil standpoint, our firm has represented numerous victims and their families who are affected by a motor vehicle accident. .
